Stamp, scrap and chat night

It is so much fun to get together with friends to laugh, talk and even get some crafting done.
Every 3rd Friday of the month I have Stamp, scrap and chat night.  The girls bring their projects (cards or scrapbook pages) to make and I provide my stamps, inks, tools and whatever help they need.  If you are interested in joining us let me know.

CKC Scrapbook Convention in San Marcos

I got to go the the scrapbook convention with a few of my friends.
Tammy, Bobbi, Robin, Cindy, Laurie and me. I love hanging out with my stamping friends.

This was Tammy and Cindy's second day at the convention. And Sandi worked the whole 2 days.

Christmas Wishes Layout

The basic layout was from a CTMH consultant Karen but my friend Cathy put her touch on it.
There are a lot of the new products from CTMH Autumn/Winter Idea Book.  Those tags are called Holiday Pockets. She also used our Dimensional Elements chipboard Flurry. One of the snowflakes she sponged ink to get the blue color. The words Christmas Wishes are the color-ready Alphabets in cork.  They are so cool. If you are interested in purchasing any of the new products either contact me or you can order from my website.

September Hostess Project Club

These are the projects we did last month in my monthly hostess project club.  I have openings if you are interested in joining us.

My husband cut these blocks out of an 8' post. We decorated with cardstock and Mischief Level 2 papers. The letter B was cut out using the Art Philophsy cricut cartridge. The pumpkins are from a discontinued stamp set from CTMH but I still love using it.

This is a candy slide card. I found the directions on Split Coast Stampers.  I used the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge on the labels. I love that cartridge.

This is a match book style card.

Don't you just love those eyes.

Dreamin' Card Workshop

These are the cards that the girls made at a workshop I had last Saturday.  Thanks to Cindy, Tammy, Susan, Jo Anne, Bobbi, Maria, Vicki, Lisa and Terry for helping me celebrate National Card Making Day with the workshop.  I bought the template for the cards from a former CTMH consultant Nona. I love her templates. In fact I bought another one that I will be having a workshop on soon.  Check back for pictures and the date of the workshop.
I used Close To My Heart's newest Cricut cartridge Art Philosophy to cut out the shapes. This cartridge can cut out over 700 images. I am so loving this product.  If you would like more info on the cartridge contact me.
If you are interested in making these cards let me know.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog.  Let me tell you a little about myself.  First of all I do not consider myself  a writer. So with that said if I make some grammar mistakes you can blame it on my Cajun background. (:
My first job is a teacher assistant for the past 13 years with preschool handicap children.  Most days I love my job. It is not easy but very rewarding for me. My second job that I am most passionate about is an independent consultant for Close To My Heart.  We sell stamping and scrapbooking supplies. I think the best in the business.
I have always love crafting. I have done sewing (made every Halloween costume for my 2 children),  stain glass and  cross stitch.  But when a friend (Bobbi) took me to a stamping party 10 years ago, I fell in love with making my own cards and gifts using stamps.  I signed up to be a consultant in Sept. 2003 and have loved every minute.  I currently have 2 hostess clubs each month. And I have workshops every month or so. And I even have hosted 3 scrapbooking crops.  I really do love to show/teach ladies how fun it is to create with stamps, papers and embellishments. My  husband added my craft room  onto our house 4 years ago.  I enjoy when my friends and customers can join me for a night or day of crafting. I have lots of room for us to spread out.
I search the internet of fellow ctmh consultants to see their fabulous work. I get my inspiration from them.  I am hoping I can post my artwork for you to enjoy and get ideas from.
Thanks for stopping by and check back soon.
